How to order standard wall decor prints on-line:

1. To purchase prints through our on-line order system, look for the “Buy Print” link under each thumbnail or preview picture and click.

2. A pop-up screen will appear. Review the preview picture to make sure it is your selected image and enter the quantity in the box next to each item you would like to purchase.

3. To continue searching for more photos, close the pop-up screen (your selections will be saved) and enter a new search term in the search box at the top of any main page or browse galleries by going to the homepage.

4. To complete your order, click the "proceed to checkout" button. Or if you have left your cart, you can always return to your cart by clicking the "cart" link at the top menu. You will then have the opportunity to review your order, change quantities, and to select any available customization options (such as cropping, rotating image, and paper type).

5. Click "Check Out" and you will be taken to a secure order form for entering your payment and shipping details.

How to order Custom-sized wall decor prints:

Perhaps you need a non-standard print size....or you would like a special crop of a photo. If this fits you, we have picture professionals available to take your order from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Alaska Time (12:00pm to 9:00 pm EST). Canvas wrapped prints are available in our standard sizes only.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is the color I see the color I'll get? All the photos have been prepared to give the truest colors possible. However, not all computer monitors are the same. We cannot guarantee that the colors of the print you see on your monitor will be matched in the print, but they will be the true colors the photographer saw.

Do you offer framing or matting of prints? Yes! Most pictures can be selected to be matted and framed. However, we offer framing and matting for our 8x12 size only at this time. The 8x12 will be cropped to an 8x10 print for the purposes of framing. You will be provided with cropping options when you select a print for framing.

Can I crop the photos or add borders when ordering?
Yes, customers can use our Crop & Border tool to customize how your image will be printed (Canvas Wrapped prints cannot be cropped). They have the ability to remove unwanted white borders when an image has proportions different from the selected print size (the image is either too long or too square). There are four crop options and four border options to choose from. If no crop is selected, the print will default to the "Center" crop option. Customers may either select "no cropping" and keep the white borders or select the "best crop" from the Crop & Border options. If the image's proportions are similar to the standard size print, the crop options will have little or no effect. You can also choose to preview images before they print, and make sure that nothing important is cropped from the photo. You can also change the cropping before printing as well, or order cropping services to have a lab technician crop the photo for you. Click here to learn more about cropping features.

Do you offer other size prints or other gift items? The print sizes we offer are : 5x7, 8x12, 11x14, 16x20 and 20x24. The gift items we offer are: Wall Calendar, 11 oz. Coffee Mug, and Mouse Pads. What if I am not satisfied with the quality of the photo? Our lab, Printroom.com guarantees the quality of the prints. If you have any problems simply contact printroom.com at: 510.580.3682 (Pacific Coast Time) and they will answer any questions or concerns you may have.

What if I find a photo at your sister company www.alaskastock.com and want a print of that but don't see it at AlaskaStockPrints.com? Most images on AlaskaStock.com are also available for the same prints and products. Each thumbnail has an "print icon" underneath which will add the photo to your cart and you can select your print options and products in much the same way as from this site.

What Technology is used to print the photos? For standard prints on photo paper, our lab uses digital printers with the highest quality silver halide chemical process–the same process used by regular photo finishers. This is direct digital continuous-tone printing, which produces stunning photographic prints far superior to ink-jets or dye sublimation printers. Some of our gift products such as t-shirts and photo mugs do use a dye sublimation process, however. Click here for more information.

What type of paper do you use? The photographs are printed on real photo paper, which comes in 250 to 300ft rolls. In addition to the superior photo quality output, the real photo paper is durable and resistant to fading. Just like regular film-based photographs, you can select matte or glossy finish.

Will my prints last? Our lab's photographs LAST! With our state-of-the-art printing process, images will not fade away, and the long-term results are the same as standard high-quality 35mm photos. Our glossy, matte, and pro luster finishes are printed with Fuji Crystal Archive paper. Our metallic prints are printed with Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper which has a display-life rated at 100 years in a typical home display, 200 years in dark storage, and 1-5 years in a commercial display. Our black & white prints are printed with Ilford Pearl RC paper.

Can I use the photo I buy on my website or Christmas card? No. The prints you purchase from this site may only be used as photo wall décor prints for your home or office. They may NOT be reproduced in any way nor used for any commercial applications including websites, trade shows or public viewing. If you wish to make Christmas cards, you must order the cards from this site. Any reproduction of the photo is considered copyright infringement.

How long will the images be kept in the shopping cart? The shopping cart is emptied when your order is placed or after you leave the site.

Do you use secure ordering? Yes. When you place an order all information (including the credit card transaction) is encrypted using our lab's secure software server (SSL) before it is sent over the internet. The lab's Secured Server can only read this information and data.

How long will it take to ship my photographs? All orders are processed in 3 business days or less. After the order is processed, it will be shipped from printroom.com. Shipping times will vary depending on the mail service you select: US Postal Service, Priority, or Express mail.

Must I order on-line or may I call AlaskanPhotos to place the order? In order to give the lowest print prices possible, all ordering must be done on-line with our lab partner. However, that said, you may call us to place your order and we will, in turn, go on-line to place your order for you.
